"remember" - painting series
This series of paintings represents somewhat of a departure for me from the standard approach to art - I have incorporated three dimensional elements in a mixed media in an effort to leave behind the constraints to conformity with regard to expressing one’s inspirations...
Memories are often fragmented and disjointed, and it is only through effort we pull them together so that they coalesce to form those mnemonic keys that unlock our own past influences - those series of experiences, inspirations and observations that form that highly focused awareness of consciousness we call “self”
As such it would be arrogant of my ‘self’ to think of these inspirations as if I made them - they simply are, and all I seek to accomplish through this assemblage of three dimensional constructs and found elements is to inspire one to acknowledge our history and remember...
